Asking for tap water in Spain

Since April 2022 every Spanish bar and restaurant has had to offer unpackaged water free of charge to anyone who asks. It is article 18.3 of Ley 7/2022, and the consumer authorities have been explicit that the workarounds do not count either: no charge for the glass, the ice or the service. Bottled water is still sold and still fine to buy. The free option simply has to be there.
